Quilted Jackets Care Guide

After washing (following the instructions on the garment's inner label), the feather/down filling can often gather into clumps inside the lining. This can be caused by the natural wax content being activated during the wash process. Please see below for two methods to loosen the down filling within the jacket.

Loosen the Filling by Hand

The preferred method of the two to help loosen the feather/down filling after washing is to use your hands. Activate the feather/down filling by massaging the garment by hand or shaking it to redistribute the filling.

Loosen the Filling Using a Tumble Dryer

Alternatively, the quilted jacket can be placed in a tumble dryer on the lowest heat setting, with some tennis balls or a pair of clean shoes, for short cycles to help free up the feather/down filling.
